Solution to laptop battery not charging
Did you ever face this situation: your laptop works fine while plugged in but stops working while unplugged? Or you charge your battery with AC charger, aslo your notebook OS reports that it is charging. After one night, you want to take your laptop to office, but the battery shows it is at 0% state-of-charge. It's likely that either your laptop battery is bad or your laptop is not charging the battery properly. Below are steps that can help identify the cause of this issue.
- Try cleaning the contacts metal on the battery. Ensure that your notebook's power adapter connect the power, another paragraph has been connected with the notebook. In some situations the battery can become loose. Remove the laptop battery and then put it back into the laptop.
- If the problem is not resolved, please remove the laptop battery and only connect power adapter to your computer. If you can not restart the computer, it should be a problem with power adapter, you may need to replace the laptop adapter of notebook.
- Does your battery get too hot? Laptop batteries normally heat up a little on charging, and they heat up even more when discharging under heavy demand. Battery packs usually include a temperature cut-off circuit, that will halt battery charging or discharging if it really overheats. You may try to take the battery out of your laptop. After 1 hours, when the battery temperature gets lower, install the battery to the laptop and charge it again.
- If the laptop battery still does not work after following the above steps, send the battery to repair center or get a new replacement laptop battery.

Some models have special tools to improve battery life.
Please notice this : Take care of your battery, dont over charge-discharge your battery too many times. You'd better charge your battery at about 20% state-of-charge and store it at about 40% stat-of-charge. You may keep your laptop's battery going for as long as possible.
